My name is Leslie and my career started in 1981 while living in San Francisco, CA. I got a job on the Pacific Coast Stock Exchange as a Quote Tron Operator on the Options floor. I often refer to this early experience as my ‘boot camp’. I moved back to Denver in 1991, as I missed the mountains and that way of life. I am proud to say that I am a third-generation financial professional. My grandfather sold bonds for J.P. Morgan and my father wrote an investment letter called the Dow Theory Comment until his death in 1987. I have been a Financial Advisor since 1992. I can explain difficult concepts to my clients, and I credit much of my success as a Financial Advisor to that.
For example, I often tell people that asset allocation is like gardening; you plant for the seasons. If all you plant are roses, then you only have flowers in June. When your flowers are up, you pick them and when they are down, you fertilize them.
Fun Fact: I own 2 horses and ride Hunter/Jumpers. Their names are CoolBeans (retired jumper) and Malone (young hunter).
